Wow, 7 straight days of shooting and editing, so many hours put in to capture a variety of subjects…

Last Thursday it started with a short road-trip for 4 days with my fellow friend down the south coasts of NSW, Australia, to Jambaroo, where we stayed in a large but seemingly empty motel. It was on a 10 acre lot with landscaped gardens in Jamberoo Valley. This was a great central location for the places we wanted to visit, about 10-20 minutes drive to each destination.

Marked on the map above are the places we went to:

Bombo ‘Boneyards’

Kiama – Cathedral Rocks

Budderoo National Park – Minnamurra Rainforest, Barren Grounds & Jambaroo Lookout

Jones Beach – Cathedral Rocks

This was no holiday, we got up early to capture sunrise seascapes and continued later in the day to capture rainforests, waterfalls, creeks and even later into the day, sunset landscapes. There were many other locations and scenery to photograph but we couldn’t fit them into our schedule. A challenging but fun and rewarding trip, I highly recommend going there if you want to see and/or capture some unique Australian scenes for yourself.

The tales from each location will be revealed later with each image I upload.

Monday till Wednesday night I shot the dress rehearsals for The Regal Musical Society’s “Urinetown” showing at the Bexley RSL on 17th-25th May 2013. Shooting this indoor event was entertaining for me, I got to watch the show 3 times, and I absolutely love it! The whole satirical dystopian story about the evil corporatocracy oppressing the masses for decades was really appealing to me. But the method of oppression is to withhold the peoples right to relieve themselves at home, ridiculously forcing them to pay for using public bathrooms under the guise of “water restrictions”.

Such a great cast, expert production crew and band, it all came together really well, the emotive acting and atmosphere from the lighting and effects really came through in my images. It’s a pity I couldn’t get any video so you can hear the singing and the live music from the band!

Pictures from this shoot will be uploaded soon.

Go and see Urinetown, your have a laugh and enjoy great music.

So many image to edit! Stay tuned for more updates 🙂
