Back in November 2013, I had a visit at my home studio (and gym) from my friend Carlos, an IT expert and personal trainer with a new Australian group fitness and PT business starting up PROSCULPT FITNESS.
Carlos has been chiseling away at his physique for many years and his body was looking it’s best ever, so to mark this transformation milestone, he wanted to do a fitness photoshoot and at the same time, we could get some promotional photos for his new website.
He has put a lot of work into his bodybuilding regime to reach his goals and he certainly knows his stuff. We got to talking about our exercise and nutrition philosophies and exchanged some tips. I was also surprised by his professionalism, he was well prepared and knew what he wanted in the shots and was helpful in providing input for our collaboration.
The shoot began in my garage gym while he pumped-up his muscles with a series of weighted exercises, I took some candids of him working out and some posed shots. Later on we took some more posed photos in my living room studio against a black backdrop.
Here are some of the favourites out of the bunch.
The southern side of Hong Kong, just one half of the alluring “Pearl of the Orient”, a British/Chinese mega-metropolis that covers a very little portion of China’s vast landmass. It is one of the world’s leading international financial centers, this business district, where the international exchange of currency is the main contributor to its economy along with its reception of foreign direct investment.
Check out this beautiful side of Hong Kong, a modern jewel (click image below to enlarge). Captured on an almost clear summer night, walking along the famous ‘Avenue of the Stars’ in Kowloon. It is a panoramic image composed of 10 30 second landscape (horizontally orientated) images stitched together and edited in Photoshop and Lightroom with my signature style. The equipment used was my newly purchased Canon 16-35mm F2.8L mounted on my Canon 50D with a corded remote shutter trigger, with the whole kit mounted on a tripod of course!
Buy your copy of this Hong Kong panoramic today in 12×36 inch for AUD$150, and get free matte and framing. Offer last until 28th of February.

This is a very special image to me, from my travels to my old home, Hong Kong, a mega-city that never sleeps and a truly unique version on the most photographed scene there. Lots of work went into photographing and editing this panoramic shot and I am thrilled to share it with you.
The visit to ‘The Peak’ to get this shot was the last destination of a whole-day photographic excursion with an old friend of mine. It was magnificent day, catching-up with an old friend, fantastic weather (just after a category-3 typhoon and the sun was out), so many great scenes and lots of walking/hiking. It was just tough because as I had fallen ill and was stuck in the hotel recovering a few days before, which also made a 3km steep hike above ‘The Peak’ (yes we went higher) very challenging, but all worth the hard work. 🙂
This 1920 x 770 resolution version doesn’t render very well after re-sizing compared to the original size of 14636 x 5870 res.!
If anybody would like a full-size print out on high quality paper or canvas, let me know, it’s 154.9 cm x 62.12 cm but can be blown up bigger, I’m definitely getting this printed! Visit my Redbubble site to purchase this image if you want a small to medium-sized prints, framed, matted, canvas, greeting cards or more!
